Kathmandu. The standing committee meeting convened by the CPN-UML has ended. The meeting called at 12 noon on Sunday was delayed and adjourned for a while. Immediately after the meeting, the Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli reached Shital Niwas to meet the President.

During the meeting, Chairman Oli briefed about the developments in Lumbini. Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel has resigned after a no-confidence motion was tabled. In this connection, Chairman Oli briefed the meeting, said Subash Nemwang, Permanent Member. "The chairman briefed me that this is happening in Lumbini province," Nemwang said after the meeting.
