The work of tarring the center and main rural roads of all the local levels of Parbat district has been started so that they can be operated for 22 months. The federal and state governments have given priority to the work of upgrading and tarring roads by allocating budget. Krishna Acharya, chief of the Infrastructure Development Office, Parbat, said that the federal and state governments have taken steps to upgrade and blacktop the main rural roads in the hills so that they can be operational in 22 months. Acharya said that the main roads connecting Kushma Municipality, Phalewas Municipality, Jaljala Municipality, Modi Municipality, Bihadi Municipality, Paiyu Municipality and Mahashila Municipality will be operational and blacktoped in 22 months. According to the office chief Acharya, the work of eight small and big road projects has been started in the district with the help of the state government. Dobilla Phalewas road is being tarred with an investment of Rs 40 million. Hospital Chowk-Bunjijump-Highway road has been paved at a cost of Rs 3.4 million. Similarly, 3 and a half kilometers of blacktop work has been completed for the construction of 5 and a half kilometers of Hilekhola Karkineta-Khaldada Phalebas-Jaimunighat road section at a cost of Rs 15 million. The office has informed that the construction work of wall and drain is underway at the cost of Rs. The budget of Chisapani Hatemalo-Tribeni Wahaki Bhanjyang-Pokharachaur Kharekhola road has been completed at a cost of Rs 90 million. Of which, 13 kilometers of roads will be tarred and 1 km of roads will be tarred. Similarly, Kushma Durlung-Bajung Lespar-Salija Nagi road at a cost of Rs. The work of tarring 1 km of Modiveni-Kushma road section at a cost of Rs 5 million is nearing completion. Similarly, Dimuba Ratamata-Sanipokhari-Thulipokhari-Chayapani-Thanti road has been paved with 7 kilometers of road at a cost of Rs 25 million. Similarly, the work of three main rural road projects of the district has been started under the conditional grant of the federal government, said Gaurav Das Bairagi, Information Officer of the Infrastructure Development Office. The Dimuwa-Ramja-Chitre road is being constructed at a cost of Rs 37.5 million. The work of tarring 4 kilometers of the road has been completed. Similarly, Silmi-Thulipokhari-Karkineta road is being tarred at a cost of Rs 43.3 million. The office has informed that the work of blacktop of 4 and a half kilometers of the road has been completed. Similarly, 300 meters of blacktop work has been completed on the Ghumti Lampata-Himalayamabi Khurkaet-Pang Nuwar Khaniyaghat road at a cost of Rs 21 million. The office has informed that 70 percent of the work has been completed. According to the office chief Acharya, the office has moved ahead with the aim of completing a total of 33 kilometers of road blacktop within this fiscal year.
