 माओवादी केंद्र के अध्यक्ष प्रचंड ने कहा है कि माओवादी केंद्र को संसद में पहली पार्टी के रूप में स्थापित किया गया है, जबकि यह गणित के मामले में तीसरी पार्टी है।  उन्होंने कहा कि माओवादी अब नए माओवादियों के गठन के लिए 10 माओवादी गुटों के विलय के बाद पहली ताकत बनकर उभरे हैं।

 संसदीय दलों की बैठक में, प्रचंड ने कहा, "हमें दूसरों के अपमान और उपहास के खिलाफ जोरदार विरोध प्रदर्शन करके आगे बढ़ना होगा।"  यद्यपि हम अतीत में विपक्ष में रहे हैं, हमने भूकंप के बाद की स्थितियों में कभी भी विरोध नहीं दिखाया है।  उस समय, हमने संविधान का मसौदा तैयार करने की पहल की।  स्वदेशी थारू और मधेसी संविधान में शामिल नहीं हो सके।  हम उनकी मांगों को संबोधित करने का मुद्दा उठाते रहे हैं, लेकिन ओएलजी पहल नहीं कर पाया है।

 प्रचंड के अनुसार, गोरखा, ओखलढुंगा और अन्य क्षेत्रों में माओवादी नेताओं और कैडरों के खिलाफ मामले दर्ज किए गए हैं।  उन्होंने एमालीनिकैट के वकील पर इस तरह की गतिविधियों में सबसे आगे होने का आरोप लगाया।  ।

 उन्होंने कहा, "उन्होंने प्रचंड के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज करने और उन्हें जेल भेजने की भी साजिश रची।"  उन्होंने सोचा कि माओवादियों को उन्माद से मिटाया जा सकता है।  उन्होंने माओवादियों के प्रति सत्ताधारी पार्टी का व्यवहार कभी नहीं दिखाया। '
