Soldiers on a UN peacekeeping mission have been beaten by their own commander in a foreign country, Congo.


The Nepal Army personnel deployed in the Congo mission were brutally beaten by the co-commander. One of the beaten soldiers has severe bruises on his body.


Nawaraj Majhi, a soldier who went to the Congolese peace mission from Jwala Gana, was brutally beaten by 3 co-fighters on September 25. Indra Thapa, Subhas Humagai and Yogendra Dhital are the three co-fighters who showed bravery by beating their own soldiers in foreign lands. According to the source, the body of the beaten fisherman had deep bruises but it was not seen in other soldiers.



Assistant Chariot and Army Spokesperson Santosh Vallab Poudyal told Sanghu that he had received information about the incident that took place on Thursday night. He said that it was learned that there was an argument when the soldiers shouted and violated the rules, but it would be confirmed only after an investigation. ‘Information about the incident has come. It is said that there was a dispute when the noise was exceeded. The photo has also been made public. Only after an investigation can we know for sure what happened there, ”said Poudyal, a spokesman for the Congolese Army.

The Court of Inquiry began

Chief of Army Staff Purnachandra Thapal and others were informed about the incident the next day. After receiving information about this, Chief of Army Staff Thapa has instructed to investigate.

According to Army Spokesperson Poudyal, a court of inquiry has been started with the person involved in the incident. He said that the truth will come out after the Court of Inquiry investigates the incident and submits a report. "Anyone found guilty by the investigation will be prosecuted under the Military Act," said Poudel
