Prime Minister Oli has sent a team led by Minister against Govinda KC
Kathmandu: It has been 12 days since Dr. Govinda KC went on a hunger strike to improve medical education.
KC's physical condition is deteriorating at the Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu after starting a hunger strike from Jumla. Instead of addressing the demand, the government has resorted to using force against him, forcing him to break the strike and defaming him.
Ignoring KC's fast, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has appointed a minister to create an atmosphere against him. Opposing KC's demand, Yogesh Bhattarai, who became a minister with Oli's blessings, is now busy cutting KC, forgetting his rank.
Bhattarai's time nowadays speaks against KC when he has to work hard for the country and public interest in the Corona epidemic. However, his ministry is not related to KC's demand. The Ministry of Health will deal with KC's demand.
But even though he is not under his ministry, he has quit his job and is trying to show Yogesh KC wrong. He has been saying that one reality shown by KC is different. Yogesh has been saying that no one can fulfill KC's demand and that he is a bundle of lies. While Dr. KC is on hunger strike demanding easy treatment for the people. Which is seen in the public interest.
However, Tourism Minister Bhattarai is in a campaign to defeat KC and release him under the direction of the Prime Minister. Minister Bhattarai's team, CPN (Maoist) cadres and some journalists have been working day and night to kill KC. Oli, who did not implement the agreement with KC earlier, now seems to be in agreement with KC.
He told Oli that he was in the mood to break the fast by using force as much as possible or else he would die. Dr. KC's aide Pritam Subedi said that the government has not taken any initiative to hear the demand even though his health condition is deteriorating. He has complained that no government body has investigated KC. According to Subedi, KC is unable to speak. He has not agreed to any treatment other than saline water.
